Licensed Therapist & Founder of MamaBloom Counseling
Accepting clients in FL & AZ
Similar to many specialty providers, I am not in-network with insurance plans.
Choosing to pay out-of-pocket offers the benefit of greater privacy, confidentiality, and flexibility in your care.
Can I use out-of-network benefits?
You definitely can!
I am happy to check your out-of-network benefits and submit therapy claims for you using a company called Thrizer. I can also provide you with a monthly superbill to submit to your insurance directly.
How much will I pay for therapy using out-of-network benefits?
Using out-of-network benefits is often more simple than it seems. You’ll have two options:
Option 1: I partner with a company called Thrizer, which can handle claim submissions directly with your insurance for a small fee. Once your deductible is met, you can either:
Pay for the session in full and receive reimbursement directly from your insurance company via direct deposit, or
Just pay your co-insurance, while Thrizer covers the remaining cost upfront and waits for reimbursement on your behalf.
Option 2: If you’d rather manage the process yourself, I can provide a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance company. With this option, sessions are paid in full at the time of each appointment.
We can review these choices during your intro call and decide which approach feels best for you.
What if I can’t afford your rate? Do you offer a sliding scale?
At this time I do not have any sliding scale spots available. I am happy to offer referrals to trusted clinicians or you can search on www.psychologytoday.com to find a therapist in your area.
Can you work with clients anywhere in the country?
Therapists can only provide services in the states where they are licensed. I am licensed in Arizona and Florida, so you must reside in one of these states for us to work together.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept debit or credit Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card, American Express, FSA, or HSA.
Do you provide in-person sessions?
Currently, I only offer Telehealth services. I can offer Telehealth as long as you are in the state of Arizona or Florida. If you are planning to travel and still want to have a session, please let me know ahead of time so I can check Telehealth regulations with the designated board of the state you are traveling to.
How long can I expect to come to therapy?
There is not an exact estimate of how long someone would need therapy. Since everyone’s needs and progress are different, it is hard to give an estimate of how many sessions one would need. However, we will be creating a treatment plan that will include your goals for therapy. We will review it regularly to keep track of your progress and when you are accomplishing your goals for therapy.
Good Faith Estimate Notice
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
